Senior quarterback Lucas Poggiali scans the field to connect with one of his teammates. In Oberlin’s homecoming game against Allegheny College, Poggiali personally shattered a school record and helped the Yeomen offense break another one of their own. Poggiali broke the Yeomen record for yards thrown with 506 yards, a title previously held by Josh Mandel, OC ’13, with 454 yards. In doing so, he also became the first player in Yeomen history to pass the 500-yard benchmark. As a team, the Yeomen set a new school record for yards of offense in a single game with 690. Poggiali was named North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance and was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week as the team’s only quarterback, a national honor.
