Part of Consent Month at Oberlin, the Clothesline Project is a form of activism through visual art, addressing topics of sexual and gender-based violence. Visual art and graphic messages on t-shirts showcase stories and messages of solidarity while providing a voice for assault survivors. With the motto “Break the Silence of Violence,” the Clothesline Project is a worldwide initiative. Art is uncensored, intended to begin the healing process for survivors and memorialize victims of sexual violence. Presented by the Nord Center, the exhibit is on display in the Science Center and McGregor Skybar until the end of April.
