The men’s basketball team ground out a 53–42 victory over the Earlham College Quakers last Tuesday night, improving to 3–1 on the season. After opening the contest against the Quakers with a 9–0 run, the Yeomen allowed the Quakers to slow down the tempo of the game, resulting in an 11–1 run for the Quakers that left the game tied at 19 going into the half. The women’s basketball team opened its season last weekend, winning its first game over the Hartwick University Hawks and falling in its second to the Johnson & Wales University Wildcats. The men’s basketball team made history with a 65–63 victory over the Wittenberg University Tigers for the first time in 35 years on their home court last Saturday, Nov. 15. The football team dropped its final game of the season last Saturday, falling 35–13 to the Hiram College Terriers. The loss left the team with a 2–8 record in what was Coach Jay Anderson’s first full year as head coach. The swimming and diving team opened its North Coast Athletic Conference play against the College of Wooster Fighting Scots on Saturday, Nov. 1 with tough losses on both the men’s and women’s sides, falling 166–93 and 153–135 respectively.
