The 2024 general election saw sweeping Republican victories across the country. Former President Donald Trump won the electoral college, also gaining the majority of votes nationwide, in Ohio, and in Lorain County. Ohio Republicans were also victorious, defeating incumbent U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, maintaining control of the State House and Senate, and winning three Supreme Court seats, raising their majority from 4–3 to 6–1. In Lorain County, Republicans won elections for two County Commissioner seats, Sheriff, Prosecuting Attorney, Coroner, and County Recorder. Democrats won County Treasurer and Engineer. Issue 1, which was intended to create a nonpartisan body in charge of redistricting, was also defeated.
All results are unofficial. All results are for Lorain County only.
