Erin is a fifth-year Violin Performance major from Hong Kong. As a longtime Layout Editor, she helped redesign the visual identity of the paper and credits the McDonald’s on Main Street as the birthplace of many of the Review’s best design ideas. She jokes that she cares about every aspect of the paper except its content, yet spends hours adjusting layout details so the paper is visually compelling enough to make people want to pick it up in the first place. As a Photo Editor, Erin explored nearly every corner of Oberlin, though none remained as chaotic and beloved as the Review’s janky Burton basement office, where she spent countless Thursday nights obsessing over the paper. Erin’s attention to detail, visual creativity, and unwavering devotion to Adobe InDesign pushed the Review to new heights.
The following are selected photos taken by Koo during her time at the Review.
