Calvin Ray Shawler fell in love with the performing arts from an early age and has pursued it since through music and theater. He’s won numerous awards for composition, poetry, short stories, and for the premier production of [INSERT future HERE] (2020), an original musical for which he wrote music and lyrics. Ever since, he has dedicated himself to writing, composing, directing, conducting, and producing a variety of ambitious artistic works including a musical revue, Stitch by Stitch (2022), a one-act musical Wait for Me, Goodbye, Look Up, I Love You (2023), and two short films titled “Things I Should Probably Throw Out” (2022), and “A Beautiful Night” (2023). His most recent projects include the one-act interactive theater piece, Mirror, Mirror (2024) and the full-length musical The Transit Trilogy (2024). He is currently studying Music Composition and Theater.
