Emma Benardete, Editor-in-Chief
Emma Benardete (they/she) is a second-year Latin and Politics major from Dutchess County, NY. Before becoming Editor-in-Chief, Emma worked in the Opinions section, first as contributing Opinions Editor and then as a full Opinions Editor, writing pieces such as “New York Times Free Speech Editorial Sends Dangerous Message” and “Lack of Local Political Opportunity May Disenchant Prospective Students.” Outside the office, Emma can be found writing articles for the Millerton News, tutoring their peers in Statistics, rehearsing with Vibe Tap, attempting to speak French, and listening to “Freakonomics” podcasts. While not in Oberlin, they enjoy horseback riding, skiing, and going for walks with their dog, Bo.
