Eric Schank

Eric Schank, Production Editor & Senior Staff Writer

Eric Schank is a third-year Environmental Studies major from Atlanta. Before joining the Review, Eric contributed to The Synapse and WOBC News. Outside of journalism, his passions include cooking, gardening, homesteading, and music; he plays the four-bass pan in OSteel, Oberlin’s steelband. Eric dreams of a bucolic life on his own farm from which he would run a micro-cidery, brewing traditional American cider, while simultaneously pursuing a career in environmental journalism. To Eric, misrepresentation of information presents the single most challenging obstacle for science journalists. In his work, Eric pursues a balanced approach that intersects the dueling realities of truth and fact in order to create objective meaning.
