County to Hold 14th Prescription Drug Turn-in Day
Lorain County will hold its 14th prescription drug turn-in day on Saturday, April 30 at 16 law enforcement offices throughout the county. Residents can go to dispose of medications that have either expired or that they no longer use. The program also helps keep the medications from polluting the water supply or being sold on the street. No personal information will be asked of those who dispose of the drugs.
Raimondo to Replace Estes in Interim
Meredith Raimondo will serve as the College’s interim vice president and dean of students. She is currently the special assistant to the president for equity, inclusion and diversity and the Title IX coordinator. She will begin her new position on July 1, while the College conducts a national search for a new vice president and dean of students. Raimondo has said she wants to help ensure that Oberlin is a place where students thrive.
College to Hold Price Memorial
A memorial for Sam Price will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 4 p.m. in the Root Room in the Carnegie Building. It is open to all and will feature reflections from Sam’s friends and family. The Sam & Devorah Foundation for Trans Youth was recently created in her memory to form a safe house for at-risk trans youth and aims to provide accessible professional counseling and support.
