Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 8:20 a.m. Staff reported a mirror torn off the wall in Wilder Hall’s basement men’s restroom. Photos were taken and a work order filed for repair. 10:21 a.m. A student reported the theft of their bicycle from the east side of Wilder Hall. The bike is a blue, 21-speed Giant with a back rack. The bicycle is registered and was locked at the time of theft. 1:23 p.m. Safety and Security officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Peters Hall. The alarm was activated by contractors vacuuming in the basement. 8:08 p.m. Staff reported vandalism to their work truck. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 8:28 a.m. Staff reported non-offensive graffiti on the southeast corner of the exterior sandstone wall of the Science Center. A work order was led for removal. 2:24 p.m. Grounds staff reported a student on the roof of South Hall. Safety and Security officers located the student. The student came down from the roof and was advised of the safety hazards. A work order was filed for repair of a screen and window. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 10:46 a.m. A student reported that they lost their brown snakeskin wallet sometime Thursday, Aug. 24 in an unknown area.  1:29 p.m. Officers were requested to assist a student who fell and injured their knee at Stevenson Dining Hall. The student was given an ice pack and transported to their Village Housing unit at their request. 2:13 p.m. Facilities staff reported a bagged smoke detector in a Union Street Housing Complex unit. Thursday, April 21 12 p.m. Facilities staff reported graffiti in the men’s restroom of the Service Building. The drawing was a figure done in marker. A work order was filed for cleanup. 6:44 p.m. A student reported a strong odor of marijuana on the first floor of Barrows Hall. Officers responded and traced the odor to a room. Though nothing was found burning, officers confiscated and disposed of alcohol that was in plain view. 10:11 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Firelands Apartments. Thursday, April 7 8:57 a.m. Staff reported graffiti on the “LEEDS” parking sign north of the Kohl Building. The graffiti was written with a white paint marker. A work order was filed for clean up. 10:10 a.m. Wilder Hall staff recovered a black bag found in the ’Sco, which contained marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The items were turned over to the Oberlin Police Department. 12:18 a.m. Facilities staff reported an exit sign pulled down by a group of students on the first floor of South Hall. After officers spoke to the student, and the student was escorted to Barrows Hall for the night. 1:43 p.m. An officer on patrol observed an ambulance at Dascomb Hall. Officers met with paramedics who were called to assist an ill staff member.
