Thursday, Feb. 18
1:48 a.m. Officers were requested to assist a student ill from alcohol consumption on the second floor of Firelands Apartments. The student was found sleeping in the hall and was able to answer all questions asked. They were then escorted to their room for the night.
10:20 a.m. Science Center staff reported non-offensive writing on the wall in the upper level of Craig Lecture Hall. A work order was filed for removal.
Friday, Feb. 19
3:34 p.m. Officers were requested to assist with a safety inspection in a room on the second floor of East Hall. The officers found several empty cans of beer and three pipes containing a substance consistent with marijuana. The pipes were turned over to the Oberlin Police Department.
Saturday, Feb. 20
3 a.m. Officers and an ambulance were requested to assist an intoxicated student at East Hall. The student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment.
3:01 p.m. Residents of a Village Housing unit on College Street reported that their rear tires were slashed. The incident was reported to the Oberlin Police Department.
11:58 p.m. Officers were requested to assist an intoxicated student in Wilder Hall. The student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment.
Sunday, Feb. 21
1:28 a.m. A Barrows Hall resident reported an overturned garbage can in the second floor bathroom. A work order was filed for clean up.
1:34 a.m. A Burton Hall resident reported a broken mirror in the second floor bathroom. It is unknown when the damage occurred or by whom, but a work order was filed.
2:41 a.m. Officers were requested to assist a student, possibly intoxicated, laying halfway out of their room on the third floor of Kahn Hall. The officers woke up the student, who was able to get into their bed on their own. The officers observed a bagged smoke detector, two bags containing a substance consistent with marijuana, a glass bong, a grinder, a BB gun and pellets in plain view inside the room. All items were confiscated and the drug paraphernalia was turned over to the Oberlin Police Department.
12:29 p.m. An officer on patrol observed several splattered eggs on an exterior wall of Kahn Hall. A work order was filed for clean up.
4:47 p.m. An officer was requested to assist a student who cut their finger while working in the machine shop at the Allen Memorial Art Building. The student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment.
Monday, Feb. 22
8:06 a.m. Grounds staff turned in an abandoned backpack they found located on the northeast side of the Kohl Building. The backpack contained a metal grinder, a wooden puk containing a green leafy substance and three baggies containing a green leafy substance. All items were turned over to the Oberlin Police Department.
Tuesday, Feb. 23
10:10 a.m. Allen Memorial Art Museum security officers assisted a student who fainted in a gallery. The officers gave the student food and water to raise their blood sugar levels. The student declined medical treatment at the time of the incident.
