Officers and members of the Oberlin Police Department responded and checked the interior and exterior of the building but the individual was not located. 2:35 p.m. A student reported she lost a key in the area between Peters Hall and Allencroft House and requested to be notified if it is located. 6:30 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the kitchen of Keep Cottage. Thursday, April 30 6:41 a.m. A custodial staff member reported vandalism to the Langston Hall sign north of the dorm. At the time of the report, the sign had only one vertical post with the address. While investigating, officers found an unregistered bicycle in the dumpster behind Union Street apartments. A work order was filed for removal of the bicycle. 8:12 a.m. Members of the grounds staff reported a vehicle parked perpendicular in the Union Street parking lot.  9:53 a.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious middle-aged individual wearing a hospital gown and asking for money at the Bonner Center for Service and Learning. The individual was located and assisted by Oberlin Police. 11:42 p.m. A staff member reported several wine bottles left in the main space of Wilder Hall following a recital. Thursday, March 26 2:37 p.m. A staff member at Philips gym reported vandalism to a door in the northeast hall. The door had been separated and broken. 5:27 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the fourth floor of Mudd library. An activated duct smoke detector was determined to be the source of the alarm. Facilities were contacted and HVAC and electrician staff responded. Friday, March 27 10:42 p.m. Members of the Oberlin Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Morgan Street and South Professor Street involving a student. The estimated value of the phone was $150. 7:38 p.m. A facilities technician responded to a low temperature alarm on the first floor of Kahn Hall. The technician found the window open, causing the thermostat not to function. There was an odor of burnt incense, and the smoke detector was found off its base. A rapid temperature spike in the bathroom activated the detector. The alarm was reset with no further problems.  3:31 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a smoke alarm on the third floor of Harkness House. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected, and smoke was observed. The car was stopped at the intersection when a second vehicle lost control on the icy road and bumped into the rear of the first car. There were no reported injuries or visible damage. 8:28 p.m. An officer assisted a student in Dascomb Hall who smashed their finger in a door.
