Monday, Aug. 31 10:48 a.m. A student reported a suspicious person near her practice room in Robertson Hall, along with $50 missing from her purse. Officers and members of the Oberlin Police Department responded and checked the interior and exterior of the building but the individual was not located. 2:35 p.m. A student reported she lost a key in the area between Peters Hall and Allencroft House and requested to be notified if it is located. 6:30 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the kitchen of Keep Cottage. Thursday, April 30 6:41 a.m. A custodial staff member reported vandalism to the Langston Hall sign north of the dorm. At the time of the report, the sign had only one vertical post with the address. While investigating, officers found an unregistered bicycle in the dumpster behind Union Street apartments. A work order was filed for removal of the bicycle. 8:12 a.m. Members of the grounds staff reported a vehicle parked perpendicular in the Union Street parking lot.  3:10 a.m. Officers were requested to assist a student in Kahn Hall who was ill from alcohol consumption. An ambulance arrived and the student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment. 8:57 a.m. Officers were requested to help transport a student with an injured arm to the Mercy Allen Hospital emergency room. 11:11 a.m. A student reported that the driver’s side rear quarter panel of their vehicle was scratched while parked in the Admissions parking lot. 4:16 p.m. A student reported the theft of a black and yellow Genesis GS29 bicycle from the bike rack in front of Kade House. Thursday, March 26 2:37 p.m. A staff member at Philips gym reported vandalism to a door in the northeast hall. The door had been separated and broken. 5:27 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on the fourth floor of Mudd library. An activated duct smoke detector was determined to be the source of the alarm. Facilities were contacted and HVAC and electrician staff responded. Friday, March 27 10:42 p.m. Members of the Oberlin Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Morgan Street and South Professor Street involving a student. Thursday, March 5 12:29 a.m. Officers received a report of a disorderly student at the ’Sco. ’Sco attendants turned away the student because the venue was at full capacity and the student became upset. The individual left before the officers arrived. 10:09 p.m. Residents of Barrows Hall reported a strong odor consistent with burnt marijuana on the second floor. Thursday, Feb. 26 2:30 p.m. A student reported the loss or theft of their iPhone from the Wilder Bowl area. The phone was not in a case. The estimated value of the phone was $150. 7:38 p.m. A facilities technician responded to a low temperature alarm on the first floor of Kahn Hall. The technician found the window open, causing the thermostat not to function. There was an odor of burnt incense, and the smoke detector was found off its base.  9:45 p.m. A student reported the theft of approximately $50 from a wallet, which was left unsecured in a locker in Philips gym. Nothing else was reported missing. Friday, Feb. 13
 3:31 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a smoke alarm on the third floor of Harkness House. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected, and smoke was observed. The officers confiscated several smoked marijuana cigarettes, a green pipe with residue consistent with marijuana and a marijuana grinder containing a substance consistent with marijuana from one room.  11:55 a.m. A staff member reported a minor accident involving a College car at the intersection of North Professor Street and Lorain Street. The car was stopped at the intersection when a second vehicle lost control on the icy road and bumped into the rear of the first car.
