Thursday, Sept. 4 6 p.m. An officer on patrol observed a female skateboarding by the loading dock at the Conservatory. The female was advised of policies regarding skateboarding. The individual refused to provide identification and left the area. 10:59 p.m. Officers were requested to assist an intoxicated student at College and Main Street. An ambulance was requested and the student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment. Thursday, May 1 10:10 p.m. A student reported the theft of a backpack from a study carrel in Mudd Library. The backpack was later located by of- ficers under a different carrel in Mudd. The backpack was returned to the owner with all items intact. Friday, May 2 2:39 p.m. Officers responded to a report of damage to the door lock at the Bike Co-op. The center piece of the lock was missing and the deadbolt did not work. Nothing appeared to be missing inside. A locksmith responded for repair. 7:22 p.m. A student reported the theft of his cell phone from the basketball court area at Philips gym. The phone is a black iPhone 4 with a black case. Thursday, April 24 10:15 a.m. Dascomb Hall staff members reported a suspicious person sleeping in the lounge on the second floor of the dorm. The individual had a green sleeping bag and black backpack. Officers responded and checked Dascomb Hall and Wilder Bowl, but the individual was not located. 11:30 a.m. Grounds staff members reported additional vandalism to the outside chairs on the north side of Dascomb Hall. An officer observed several slats broken from one of the seats. No estimate of the damage has been given. Thursday, April 17 10:29 a.m. Custodial staff reported observing graffiti in the first floor restroom at Fairchild House. The graffiti appeared to be non-offensive and done in black marker. A work order was filed for removal. 11:18 a.m. Officers responded to assist with an ill student at Fairchild House. An ambulance was requested, and the student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment. 3:23 p.m. Custodial staff reported a large hole in the northwest walkway of Harvey House. Thursday, April 3 12:30 p.m. A student reported his bicycle to be missing from either Bailey House, King Build- ing or Philips gym. The bicycle is a black eight-speed Schwinn Searcher with a blue bottle holder and lights on the handle and seat. 2:47 p.m. A student reported the theft of her wallet and ID from her purse while in the Allen Art Building. The wallet contained approximately $106 and her ID, which was then canceled. 4:17 p.m. Officers were requested to assist an ill student who almost fainted in King building. Friday, March 28 6:12 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to an activated carbon monoxide detector in a Woodland Street Village housing unit. No gas was detected within the home by the OFD. The battery was replaced and the detector stopped beeping.   Saturday, March 29 10:44 p.m. A resident of East Hall reported an individual urinating on a room door in the first floor of East Hall. Thursday, Feb. 27 12:53 a.m. – Officers were requested to assist a student who injured her ankle while playing Frisbee at Williams Field House. An ambulance was summoned and the student was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment. 4:27 p.m. – Staff at Philips gym reported several individuals in the gym without proper passes. After speaking with officers, the individuals left the area. 4:30 p.m. – Officers on routine patrol observed non-offensive graffiti on the south exit door of Barrows Hall. Thursday, Feb. 20 9:36 a.m. Officers requested an ambulance for a student who slipped on the ice and injured her leg. The student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment. 3 p.m. A staff member reported that she fell on the sidewalk between Peters Hall and King Building, receiving scrapes to both hands and her right knee. She declined medical treatment at the time. 10:50 p.m. Campus Dining Services staff members reported that they discovered a small plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana. The student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment. 1:00 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Police Department responded to a report of a dog bite at the Union Street Housing Complex. Friday, Jan. 31 10:45 a.m. Student Union staff members reported a 4’ tall, 2’ wide circular table missing from the ’Sco. Members of the Oberlin Police Department were notified of the theft of the table, which is valued at approximately $500. 3:19 p.m. Officers and members of the Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Union Street Housing Complex. Smoke from a dirty stove activated the alarm, which was then reset. 4:07 p.m. Officers responded to a strong odor consistent with burnt marijuana that appeared to come from a room on the first floor of South Hall. Thursday, Dec. 5  11:32 a.m. An Allen Memorial Art Museum security officer requested assistance with an ill student, who had fainted, at the museum. The student was transported to Mercy Allen Hospital for treatment.  10:42 p.m. An anonymous student called to report someone smoking on the fourth floor of Mudd library. When they arrived at the scene, the officers detected a cigarette odor and made contact with the nearby students. Both students denied smoking. The students were reminded of campus smoking policy. Thursday, Nov. 14 2:14 p.m. A student reported the loss of a black wallet, which was containing miscellaneous cards, a driver’s license and approximately $70. On Wednesday, Nov. 13 one of his debit cards was used at a café in downtown Oberlin. The student was advised to file a report with the Oberlin Police. 4:25 p.m. A student reported the theft of an unattended black backpack from the dance studio in South Hall.
